Furnace and AC Service in Henderson, CO

From fifty-year-old ranch homes along the river bottom to the front porches of Belle Creek, Henderson's heating and cooling spans half a century of equipment. We work on all of it.

Henderson is not one kind of place, and anyone who works here knows it. West of US-85 along the South Platte you have ranch homes and horse properties from the 60s, 70s, and 80s, some on big parcels, some tucked into the old subdivisions off 124th. East of the highway, Belle Creek and the newer developments brought 2000s-era production homes with completely different systems and completely different problems. We are based in Brighton, ten minutes up 85, and Henderson has been part of our daily route from the start.

The older Henderson homes: where experience matters

The unincorporated stretches of Henderson hold some of the oldest working furnaces in our whole service area. We still find units from the 1980s, occasionally older, chugging along in basements and utility rooms out here. A few honest things about servicing them:

Swamp coolers: Henderson's summer tradition, and its limits

More than anywhere else we work, Henderson still cools with evaporative coolers on the roof. On a dry June day a well-maintained swamp cooler is cheap, effective, and honestly pleasant. We service them: spring startups, pad and pump replacements, float valves, winterization in October. No judgment, they are good machines in this climate for most of the summer.

The limits show up twice a year. Late July and August, when monsoon moisture pushes dew points up, a swamp cooler stops cooling and starts humidifying, and the house sits at 80 and clammy. And every year the maintenance gets a little older along with the homeowner who has been climbing that roof ladder since the 90s. When Henderson folks decide they are done with pads and panels, we do full conversions to central air: seal the roof penetration properly, evaluate whether the existing ducts can carry AC airflow, and install a correctly sized condenser and coil. Because swamp cooler ducts are typically oversized, conversions here often go smoother than people fear. Details and pricing logic are on our AC replacement page.

Belle Creek and the newer east side

Belle Creek's homes went up mostly in the early-to-mid 2000s, which puts the original builder furnaces and ACs at 20 years old, squarely in replacement territory. The pattern matches what we describe on our Reunion page: same-age equipment failing street by street, capacitors and ignitors first, then the big components. If your Belle Creek home still runs its original system, a fall inspection is cheap insurance, and if replacement is coming, doing it on your schedule with rebates lined up beats a January emergency swap by thousands of dollars.

Henderson questions

Will you actually repair my old furnace, or just try to sell me a new one?

If it can be repaired safely and the part exists, we repair it, and we put the heat exchanger inspection results in front of you either way. Replacement gets recommended when the math or the safety inspection says so, and we will show you both.

Do you convert swamp coolers to real AC?

Yes, regularly, and Henderson is where we do most of them. The existing ductwork usually works in your favor. We will evaluate your setup and give you a firm conversion quote, and we will also tell you if your swamp cooler has years left and a conversion can wait.

Can you heat my shop or barn?

Yes. Vented unit heaters sized for the space and the gas supply, installed to code. Tell us square footage, ceiling height, and whether you have natural gas or propane and we will quote it.

How fast can you get to Henderson?

Ten minutes from Brighton on US-85, so same-day for most calls between 8 am and 7 pm across Henderson, Belle Creek, and the river-bottom properties. For overnight failures, our emergency help page has the safety steps to get to morning.
